Editorial Policy

This Editorial Policy explains the standards that guide how The Trendify News researches, writes, reviews, and publishes content. It applies to our news coverage, explainers, and feature articles across all categories, including politics, business, technology, sports, and entertainment.

Our Editorial Goal

We aim to help readers understand what is happening, why it matters, and what may happen next — in language that is clear and accessible without oversimplifying important context. We write for readers first, not for search engines or clicks.

Sourcing Standards

Where possible, we base factual claims on official statements, established news agencies, government or institutional data, and other publicly verifiable sources. Where a claim cannot be verified against a credible source, we either omit it or clearly label it as unconfirmed. Articles covering sensitive, political, legal, health, or financial topics include a Source / Reference section where appropriate, and we distinguish confirmed facts from analysis or opinion within the text.

Independence

Editorial decisions — what we cover and how we frame it — are made based on relevance and reader value, not by advertisers or outside parties. Where an article contains sponsored content or affiliate links, it will be clearly labeled as such.

Review Process

Articles are reviewed prior to publishing for factual accuracy, clarity, and appropriate sourcing. Developing stories may be updated as more information becomes available; where a substantive fact changes after publication, we note the update rather than silently altering the article. See our Corrections Policy for how we handle errors, and our Fact-Checking Policy for more detail on our verification process.

Sensitive Topics

For stories involving crime, legal proceedings, or public accusations, we use neutral language and note when charges are alleged rather than proven. For health, financial, and legal topics, our coverage is informational and is not a substitute for professional advice — see our Disclaimer.
